Civic Engagement
at Parker

The Francis W. Parker School educates students to think and act with empathy, courage and clarity as responsible citizens and leaders in a democratic society and global community.
--Francis W. Parker Mission

The mission of Francis W. Parker School orients the teaching and learning in all areas of the school toward civic responsibility. Teachers and students at the school share a strong value for democratic participation, and concern with justice, inclusive community, and youth voice. Through ongoing study and practice of democratic education, we translate our mission into day-to-day classwork, relationships, and civic engagement beyond the school.
